Another of His Mercies!

O! That God has chosen to deal so bountifully and mercifully to His elect! Blessed be His Name! I am continually reminded of His acts of kindness and mercy sent my way. Most importantly, I am humbled as I think of His blood sacrifice on the cross, which without all men would surely die. The God Who fashioned the luminous sun, moon, and stars…He Who spoke His wondrous creation into existence…by the very BREATH OF HIS MOUTH! This is the God Whom we are to adorn, worship, fear, love, and obey. This is the God of the Scriptures, Who never changes. He slumbers not. He’s never unaware. Never in need. Never taken aback.
“Can anynone see God? ”
“No I cannot, but He always sees me.”
This was my daughter’s latest catechism question. Oh that we older ones would delve into His Word and know it, just as she is being taught to do! Grace and Peace to each of you this Lord’s Day!
Worship Him. Obey Him. Love Him. Fear Him. Him, and no other.
Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord; that is my name;
my glory I give to no other,
nor my praise to carved idols.
