The State of the Union

In what state do we find our union?

We’ve shown our hatred for the God of the Scriptures. We’ve shown our hatred for His Word. We’ve shown our hatred for the idea of a government acknowledged and brought to fruition as having been established by Christ as the head and cause. Where are the Covenanters?

Despite the lip service, we’ve also shown our hatred for constitutional government as defined by the Constitution of the United States. It has become a mere historical document, rather than a governing one. The State of the Union?

A socialist state.

We have Presidents who profess Christ yet call Isalm a “noble” faith. Yea, I know, they’re not theologians, but does one have to be a theologian to recognize the sole and distinct supremacy of the Christian faith as defined by the Reformational principle Sola Scriptura? The so-called “radical” Islam is historical Islam. All other variants found throughout which seem to be “peaceful” are not truly Islam.

Conservatism, as it truly is, severely lacks adherents in our day. There are many who call themselves such, yet they lack the true principles which really define the values of a conservative. Conservatism is not defined by by being War-Hawkish, though when War is inevitable Conservatives should indeed be Hawkish, Solidified, and Firm. Conservatism is not defined by liberating other countries, though conservatism does produce such. Liberation of a country comes from within. I fear that while America tries to bring “freedom and democracy” to the ends of the earth, we’re slowly losing that freedom here by means of heavy government intervention in our lives, unjustified taxation, “laws” enforced upon us by those who are not elected, etc.

Wanna “fix” Social Security? Here’s how: Nix it.

Wanna “fix” New Orleans? Here’s how: Nix it.

Ok. I’ll stop.

There are so many things that could be touched upon in this venting post that it could become an exhausting entry, but I will relent. I try to stay away from political blogging, but maybe I shouldn’t? Who knows.

All that being said, and though I disagree fundamentally with my President in many things, I still loved one particular priceless look on the face of that snake, Hillary Clinton, this evening during the State of the Union address.
