A Novel Occurence for Me

Well, this last Friday, while at work, I managed to receive a concussion to the back of my head. Apparently my brain is larger than before thought, in that it somehow sloshed through the liquid and actually made contact with the inside of my skull. It was, and still is, a very strange…err…novel occurence. I think there are about 5 hours of my life that I will never remember, including the incident itself which caused it. I can only go on what others have told me, and have no idea of the details that made it occur. I certainly am thankful to the Lord that the catscans showed there to be no damage to my noggin, and it appears that I am no dumber than I was before the situation ensued. Praise God!

I’m glad to hear the good report. I will encourage you to make certain that the accident is documented and reported to the proper authorities.
You never know if something like this might develope into a larger problem down the road.
I’m experiencing the same dilemma myself. I was injured on the job in May and my injury developed into a severe problem in July. I’ve been off work since July 15th.

Hey, Tim. Thanks for the heads up. Sad to say, I can only document what I remember…which is not much. As it happened at work it was reported to my Lt and Chief. Then, of course, the medical EMTs of the depot wer dispatched and took me to the ER at St.Michael’s. So I’m presuming that the proper authorities have been notified? Who else should I contact? Godspeed, Brother!

    Josh,

Sorry to hear about your closed head injury. Glad to hear you’re doing well. But I’m wondering how you could tell the diffence between being concussed and not concussed?

    :)
