A Sober Hope

Josh November 1st, 2007

Lamentations 3:

19 Remember my affliction and my wanderings,
the wormwood and the gall!
20 My soul continually remembers it
and is bowed down within me.
21 But this I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”

Amen. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

Hey man, I think you mean Lamentations, unless you have a Bible which has extra verses after Leviticus 3:17 ;)

  2. Joshon 03 Nov 2007 at 9:33 am

    :D Thanks, Vaughan.

    Nice quote Josh.

v 19 so special for me.

What a book for a true a Christian. Lamentations.

    Tell me about it.

I hope this gets past the editor as my last 2 replies have not done.

What have your other posts consisted of? Firstly, I don’t moderate comments  Secondly, I don’t see any “awaiting moderation.”

    Your a gas Josh.

Why do you have to chomp at the bit all the time?

  6. Joshon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:01 am

I’m not really sure what you mean by “chomping at the bit”, as it was you who was wondering why you’re comments didn’t show up.

So, Mr. Harris, do I understand that you’re not going to substantiate your accusations you’ve made against me?

Please stop this security code thing, I just lost another 2 replies.

  8. removed by adminon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:31 am

Its not me, that time it did not work.

  9. Joshon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:31 am

(name removed by admin), your comments are neither going to the spam section, or in the “awaiting moderation” field. I DO NOT moderate comments. It’s amazing that your comment telling me that you’ve lost comments came through just fine…hmmm.

I will set something up Josh where where we all can chat live.

  11. Joshon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:32 am

It has worked four times for you alread and you have yet to tell me if you’re going to substantiate your accusations.

Will you recant? Yes or No?

Will you substantiate your accusations? Yes or No?

    It’s very simple, Mr. Harris.

  12. removed by adminon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:34 am

It cant be me, its a bug or I am missing something here.

  13. Joshon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:36 am

    (name removed by admin),

The truth is if you’re leaving comments about comments not going through, something is fishy. Because your comments about not being able to post comments are working. Do you not see the iconsistency in that?

  14. Joshon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:37 am

Oh, I don’t mind chatting live, so long as it can also be recorded…you know, for substantiation purposes.

  15. removed by adminon 06 Nov 2007 at 11:38 am

    Recant what?

that your prayer was a show!

Josh, do I need to recant before you burn me. :)

Get a life. And you talk about being provocative.

I will set up a live chat place.

    Back soon.

    When I pass by.

It could be that you allowing comments through as you wish and trying to make me look a fool.

I guess I should take screenshots, but that would not prove anything, besides why should I?

    (name removed by admin)

  17. Joshon 06 Nov 2007 at 12:09 pm

Screenshots don’t matter, because they don’t prove that it ever went through. I can, however, show that no comments have been deleted between such and such a time.

I am truly insulted that you’ve not only accused me of being as one who lives under the law, and a Pharisee, but now you’re accusing me of being a liar and deceiver. Amazing.

  18. removed by adminon 06 Nov 2007 at 12:12 pm

Josh, I accuse you of nothing before Christ.

    I apologize for all.

How can I make you not hate me?

  19. removed by adminon 06 Nov 2007 at 12:13 pm

    Lord Christ, have mercy.

  20. removed by adminon 06 Nov 2007 at 12:14 pm

    Before men I will.

  21. Joshon 06 Nov 2007 at 12:17 pm

Now you’ve accused me of “hating” you? Wow. Wherein have I expressed such? Yet another accusation that impugns my character that you have not substantiated.

  22. removed by adminon 06 Nov 2007 at 12:29 pm

(name removed by admin), I am finished with the back and forth. I’ll leave your behavior here to the judgment of your Pastor.

  25. removed by adminon 06 Nov 2007 at 12:44 pm

    Again.

    Judgement.

    My Pastor.

Josh you know nothing of my being born again and fed horse manure in the baptist fellowship where I gave my good confession, baptised, and recieved the right hand of fellowship.

What do you care Josh, my brother.

Josh, if you cut loose, I dont blame you.

There is a fire in me that you should be proud of.

Mock me if you will. If you will.

    The Unaccountable Man.

  27. Jessicaon 06 Nov 2007 at 3:39 pm

    Joshua,

I’m thankful to know a brother in Christ such as you. Thank you for your Christian example in how you live out your daily life. Those who personally know you in real life have far more validity in discerning your character. Your Christian witness to those who do know you (and have had the chance to talk with you) in real life speaks volumes. It drowns out the voices and unsubstantiated assumptions of any stranger on the internet sitting behind a computer (who don’t even know you). Thank you for being a beacon of light and for being an example of a man who strives to live in godliness.

  28. Joshon 06 Nov 2007 at 3:39 pm

Jessica, I certainly don’t meet the standard by which you’ve described me. Thanks so much for the kind words.
